Anne Wen
CEO & Co-founder
Stell
Raised — $7.2M
I have always been obsessed with space since childhood. A lifelong dream turned into a deep desire to work in and help the industry that has become so dear to me: missions that excite me, friends whose careers inspire me, and technology that is important. I have spent over a decade working in the space industry, also in start ups. Co-founding Stell, a requirements management platform that helps engineers build complex hardware systems, feels like a way to contribute and enable this industry.
In her words
“Accelerating the pace of engineering design, collaboration, and verification by using secure AI will change the future of hardware engineering and enable the most ambitious technology to change the world.”
Chapter I
The toughest challenges you've faced as a founder.
Aerospace and defense is a male-dominated field, an old boys club where women and especially young women are underestimated. Even still, in just 3 years Stell has won $9M+ in government contracts and made deals with notoriously slow-moving aerospace primes. Stell’s customers build satellites, rockets, ships, and planes. We are a small company making big waves.
Chapter II
Your vision.
Stell wants to be the secure repository for all of your most important engineering data. We enable organizations building the most important hardware of our time to easily search, organize, and manage their requirements on Stell. Accelerating the pace of engineering design, collaboration, and verification by using secure AI will change the future of hardware engineering and enable the most ambitious technology changing the world to come to life.
Chapter III
The impact you want to leave behind — for your industry, your community, and the women who come next.
I want other everyone, especially other women, to see themselves belonging in the aerospace industry.
