Founder
Homebound
Raised — Over $500M
We started Homebound out of devastating wildfires, with a belief that we could build better with technology behind every step of the process, and along the way, rebuild communities and create the next generation home builder it that could help help reverse a chronic housing shortage in cities across the country.
Chapter I
The toughest challenges you've faced as a founder.
We raised our Series A in my final weeks of pregnancy with my third kid, signed the term sheet the day I got home from the hospital, closed the round 30 days later, and launched our second market in the intervening weeks, with a brand new baby in tow. It was terrifying, exhausting, and exhilarating, and it set the tone for the company: we can do hard things.
Chapter II
Your vision.
Making it possible for anyone anywhere to build a home using technology. Technology has the ability to massively simplify incredibly complex process of building a house, and in the process, take out substantial cost and time, and bridge the information chasm between the homebuilding industry and American families.
Chapter III
The impact you want to leave behind — for your industry, your community, and the women who come next.
We have the unique opportunity to bring true technology impact to an industry that has lacked it for decades. When we succeed, homes become more plentiful and affordable, families get to live in a home that is perfect for their needs and their budget, and communities get built and rebuilt faster than ever before. Our team's jobs get easier and more enjoyable, allowing them to focus on the most challenging problems and automating busy work, and our trade partners can run their businesses more seamlessly and profitably, creating more and better jobs in our communities.
